Veterans Treatment Court

Veterans Treatment Court ("VTC") is a specialized post-plea court. It is available to current or former members of the United States military involved in the criminal justice system.

The Program

The goal of the VTC is to help connect veterans to services they may need, like:

  • mental health treatment and therapy,
  • substance abuse counseling,
  • healthcare,
  • job training and employment, and
  • help with housing.

VTC participants are intensively supervised by a Deputy Probation Officer. We encourage our participants to make use of the additional resources and services of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veteran’s Service Office. Our participants are required to comply with restitution and attend regular court hearings for progress reviews.

Upon graduation from VTC, participants may qualify to:

  • have their fines reduced,
  • have probation terminated early, and/or
  • have their conviction expunged or dismissed.

For more information about the program, please read the Participant Handbook.
