The information posted on this web site is meant to provide a view of the dates that are available for Informal Discovery Conference. The information is near real time and reflects the time slots available at the time you access the calendar date.

In all general civil cases as defined by CRC Rule 1.6(4), parties and non-parties are encouraged to hold an Informal Discovery Conference (IDC) with the Court before filing a motion to compel or other discovery motion. By agreeing to engage in an IDC, the participants agree that the time to bring a motion to compel or other discovery motion is tolled, starting on the date a party emails a request for an IDC to the Court. All requests for IDCs must be made prior to the expiration of the statutory time to bring a motion to compel or other discovery motions. (Local Rule 3.700(a),(e).) The Case Management Judicial Officer will hear IDCs by conference call. To schedule an IDC, email the Case Management Judicial Officer's Department at IDC@sanmateocourt.org.

Each Informal Discovery Conference will be scheduled for a 30 minute time slot.
